Team Moana Hangi

Team Moana Hangi 

On December the 6th we will be having our Hangi. 

1. Find an appropriate (clear) piece of land to dig.

2. Clear the loose shrubs, leaves, grass and branches and other
loose materials from the area.

3. Water the ground surrounding so nothing catches on fire.  

4. Measure the appropriate area to dig.

Use the cooking baskets as an outline.

Give a little extra space from the edge of the basket(30cm).

5. Get a spade and start digging.

The depth of the baskets and give room for the iron and the
rocks.

6. Gather the wood and prepare inside the hole.

Use manuka, totara, puriri wood.
